Handmade from 80% Hemp and 20% Nepalese Lokta paper. Beautifully bound with saddle stitching, of exceptional durability and a very special texture. Lokta is a tree native to Nepal and is harvested in a similar way to Cork trees. Once every 5 years or so the bark of the tree is removed (the tree naturally re-grows the bark within a few years and is not damaged). This paper is gathered and processed in an ecologically sound way which does not affect the fragile forest ecology of Nepal. Ideal as an artist's pad, diary, notebook or journal. All books contain 30 leaves.
