I'm probably a bit of an exception, as I honestly used this fabric for making cloth diapers. I made simple flats which means I just washed and cut it. It has quite a bit of shrinkage, 4m have me some 3.3m to work with.
It has some places in the fabric where it looks almost as if someone drew on it with pencil, where the thread seems to have been thicker.
It is very soft, smooth, and thin, and would make great summer clothes, I would think! Both my husband and I loved the feel.
However, I do think you'd need a serger. Even just cutting the fabric was quite difficult, is it is very prone to rolling in. If I'd make clothes with it, I'd probably make sure to have plenty of starch and an iron to hand. I did try to edge my flats with bias tape to reduce the bulk on baby's bum, and it was rather a lot of work compared to other Jersey that I had biased. The rolling is really very pronounced.
That said, if you're up for the challenge, it really does feel great and would, I think, make great, luxurious shirts.
I love this fabric - it is a good medium weight with a lovely texture. Good for tshirts and leggings. Washes really well and has a good elasticity.
